Offering
Ashram Immersion
Live in a real ashram homestay on the banks of the Triveni Sangam. That's it. That's enough.
The Ashram Immersion is not a program we invented. It's simply what life at ShantiLokha is, formalized so you can find us. You arrive. You settle into your room — simple, clean, with a small altar and incense. You eat three vegetarian meals a day, cooked with care. Each morning holds one offering. Each afternoon is free. The Ganga is a short walk away.
Most places you visit ask: What would you like? ShantiLokha asks something different: What are you bringing?
This is a place of conscious contribution. Guests are not consumers here — they are participants in a living field that everyone shapes. The more you give, the more you receive. That's not a philosophy we market. It's the lived reality of this place.

Daily Rhythm
This rhythm is a guide, not a rule. You're free to follow it or find your own pace.
What You'll Find Here
The Offerings
Meditation
Morning sits in the Sacha lineage. Suitable for beginners and experienced meditators. The meditation space overlooks the compound garden.
Yoga
Asana, pranayama, and the subtler practices. This is not fitness yoga. This is yoga as it was meant to be — a preparation of the body for stillness.
Sanskrit
Learn the language of the sacred texts with Panditji, a Brahmin teacher from the ashram tradition. Intimate, conversational lessons. No prior experience needed.
Aarti
The ancient fire ceremony of devotion. A ritual of light, chanting, and reverence performed on the banks of India's sacred rivers for millennia. Just bring an open heart.
Sacred Outings
Guided visits to the Triveni Sangam, local temples, and sacred sites of Prayagraj. Walk the same ground that sages and pilgrims have walked for thousands of years.
Seva
Daily opportunities to contribute — in the garden, the kitchen, the ashram, or the neighbourhood. Always an invitation, never an obligation. Seva gives energy. Work drains.
Where You'll Be
The Place
Triveni Sangam
ShantiLokha sits 100 meters from the Ganga, at the confluence of three sacred rivers: the Ganga, the Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati. This is one of the holiest sites in Hinduism. During the Kumbh Mela, tens of millions gather at this exact spot.
Sacha Baba Ashram
Our compound sits within an ashram of the Sacha lineage. The ashram has held spiritual seekers for decades. Young Brahmins study here. Daily practice has been maintained on this land for generations.
Prayagraj
One of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth. 35-40 million visitors per year. 3-4 hours from Varanasi, 3 hours from Ayodhya, 6 hours from Bodh Gaya — the cosmic centre of sacred India.
